Start with the task you’re doing. If you get stuck, email admin@craterwd.com from your account address with the screen name and what happened.

Sign in and choose your workspace

Use your usual verified CrateRWD account. Google, Apple and email-code sign-in are available through the secure sign-in flow; keep verification codes out of support messages. Choose Home or a Business you can access. A different account may have different workspaces and purchase links.

Home: rooms, items and floor plans

Set up rooms/storage manually, or choose Upload my floor plan during iPhone Home setup. Select the correct PDF page and use Select floor-plan area to remove unnecessary margins/title blocks. Confirm AI sharing, read the plan and compare outlines with the source. Move a wall using its middle grip, a corner using its circle, or a room using its number. Double-tap a corner to square it off. Red warnings identify rooms/edges needing correction. Undo restores a drawing change.

After manual corrections, optional Refine my corrections with AI offers a separate, checked suggestion. Use it or keep your own corrections. Check the room list, floor and approximate width before applying. Detailed geometry and original plan files currently stay on the iPhone. You can hide the Home plan and continue using rooms/items without it.

In a room, add cupboards, shelves, boxes and items. Keep photos, receipts, manuals, lending and manually entered budgets together. Saved reminders and calendar exports do not mean automatic notifications, bank feeds or two-way calendar sync.

Capture a photo or scan a code

On iPhone, choose Capture item for photos or Scan code for a barcode. Review editable details and save a local draft. In Captures, choose the destination and confirm Add to cloud inventory. A local draft does not change stock until the cloud save is confirmed. Optional AI identification needs photo-sharing consent.

Business: plan, dispatch and return

Add inventory and customers, then use the desktop day board, bookings, availability, kits and packing records to prepare work. Dispatch against the correct customer and dates. Record the quantities physically returned, including partial returns, and review outstanding balances. The phone supports field actions; refresh shared records before starting a new task.

Inspections, maintenance and documents

Owners can prepare versioned checklists, schedule/assign work and hold stock. Assigned staff record checks, observations and supported private photo evidence. Owners review completion and make an explicit stock decision before release. A failed check is not a safety clearance. Keep SDS/MSDS and other documents current for your business.

Move from another system

Follow the guided migration process for inventory, customers and historical hires. Preview mapped rows and reconcile after importing. Optional assistance is quoted separately.

Interrupted saves

Keep the draft and use the same retry/reference where offered. Repeating an exact reviewed save lets the server check whether it already completed. Do not create replacement records until the outcome is clear. Pending actions are not automatic offline synchronisation.

Help chat, profiles and your account

Use help chat for optional AI suggestions or request human support. A support request is recorded; it does not mean someone is immediately online. Edit your display name, bio/photo in profile controls. Use More → Account & privacy on iPhone for sign-out, supported exports and deletion requests.
